     E. Speaks with wisdom and kindness. Proverbs 31:26

     F. Characterized by the ‘fear of the Lord’. Proverbs 31:30

IV. Her worth:
     A. A blessing to her household. Proverbs 31:15, 21, 23, 28

     B. A comfort to all around her. Proverbs 31:29–31

Questions for reflection:

  • The common view of Proverbs 31 is that it is primarily a kind of instruction manual for wives. How does viewing the passage as primarily a ‘Portrait of Wisdom’ change or deepen this view?
  • Can you think of examples of people who practice the wisdom described in Proverbs 31? Who are they? How do they model this wisdom?
  • How does Jesus fit into the pursuit and practice of wisdom?
